The City Council of the 1st and 7th arrondissements is pleased to invite you, for the fourth time, to share a day of parades and festivities, at the border between the city and the sea. The heart of Marseille shook! From the café terrace, to the laid-back atmosphere of Port Antique, you will embark on a musical and acoustic adventure that brings together lyrical, traditional and innovative sounds through its cultural mix. The trip will be punctuated by an invitation to dance to festive rhythms on La Canebière’s main stage. A Mediterranean-inspired program, which will take you beyond the oceans, to stops in Cuba, Haiti, Colombia and Comoros.

As with each edition, the Marseille Center Merchants Association will host a large market of producers and creators, Marseille Capitale de la Mer will offer sailboat tours, and you can come and meet citizens’ associations, booksellers and obligated record stores. The University of Aix Marseille, loyal partner of Au Bout la Mer, will present several dance events, under the guidance of a researcher choreographer.

Because more than fifteen concerts, brass bands, sound and touring choreography will follow each other from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lots of invitations to listen, dance, celebrate or meditate facing the sea. The day after the festival, the gaze was always southward!

Since 2013, the Mars-C-Yeah Association has brought together all vinyl enthusiasts across the region. It invites its members to come with their groups and make exchanges and find out the quote of one of their discs, but also to professionally clean the people who need it, why not find the rare pearl! There will be about twenty platforms in all styles of music with 33 rpm and 45 rpm vinyl, CDs, cassettes, accessories, covers, audio equipment, turntables, … Vinyl will work on Canebière! More than thirty local producers and traders are present to offer a variety of seasonal products. For dining, food carts serve food and drink throughout the day. The market is organized by the Marseille Centre, a downtown merchants association with the support of the Marseille City Council, City Hall 1-7 and Section 13.
