Theme for those who don’t buy a don’t scratch turntable to listen to music in #ouitage mode…

Perhaps there were quite a few who dreamed of replacement CDs for our vinyl, or spent a lot of money on tapes and multiple tracks dreaming of a solution without background noise, or longed for those beautiful scratches, twinkling in the window, replaced their old 335

This is where it happens, but we don’t force anyone

open “fire” (smiles sternly)

It is very good for the ecology of age. The music industry is ecocide.
We have already produced enough machines for several generations to come. You can also buy used stuff and levy a carbon tax on gaseous people.

The new is outdated, no one wants it anymore.

Well, Benard is the same, a Bordeaux bottle from 1989 is much more expensive than the same bottle from 2019!

Ha, but it’s different in my opinion.
I define #ouitage as a fake, an antique but antique, or an old gadget still in production but it costs 3 times the price because it’s “old” (eg the pedal above or the 200€ Ibanez cream

For guitars, we talk more about “relic” or “fake” and assume the worn side, compared to antique (old) which does not necessarily mean dilapidated (eg, LP 58 “la parisienne” recently found in excellent condition which Slash bought it at the price of gold).

For me it is first marketing (so without benefits)
What does the academy say?

quotes:

The saying goes in vino veritas; In wine also the origin of wine. This English name is actually derived from vint (ner), itself borrowed from the Old French vinetier, “vine grower”. Wine first qualifies a port of a particular kufi or antique. This usage, true when designating a port, should not, by extension, qualify such and such an object, such as Grand Cru, that would have increased in value with age. In this sense this adjective tends to be widespread in French; We prefer to replace it with the adjective period phrase or, if we want to keep the metaphor of wine, with the adjective vintage.

What is certain is that no one has ever been talking about an “interruption”.

It’s straightforward, even with the world’s most corrupt English accent.
